The work of the organisation is underpinned by the following core values:
Collaborative: Helping The Homeless members and volunteers are committed to working with one another and in association with other agencies in order to deliver its services.
Inclusive: Helping The Homeless’s services are available to anyone who needs them (irrespective of the circumstances that led to the person becoming homeless).
Practical: Helping The Homeless and its supporters offer food, clothing, sleeping attire, temporary shelter, advice & support to make a material and emotional difference in the day to day life of its clients.
Respectful: Helping The Homeless members and volunteers will treat one another with consideration (irrespective of a person’s ethnic origin, religious background or sexual orientation).
Building Self-Esteem: Helping The Homeless’s members and volunteers seek to provide their services in such a way that clients will be encouraged to form a good opinion of themselves.
Enabling: Helping The Homeless’s members and volunteers are committed to empowering their clients.
